Cleaning in healthcare and care home settings is a specialised task requiring experience, discretion, and strict hygiene adherence. Builders Clean Manchester was proud to be chosen for the builders clean at Astley View Care Home in Chorley—a modern residential home for the elderly by Stubbs Construction.

The project required an after-build clean across 90 ensuite bedrooms, communal lounges, kitchens, and medical staff areas. With safety and compliance in mind, we assigned a team of trained cleaners with Infection Prevention Control.

Key tasks included:
– Thorough dust extraction from ceilings, light fittings, and wall fixtures.
– Sanitisation of high-touch points: handrails, lifts, intercoms, doors, and call buttons.
– Deep floor scrubbing in bathrooms and dining areas using non-slip and anti-bacterial solutions.
– Window cleaning inside and out to ensure maximum natural light for residents.

We operated in phases alongside final snagging, coordinating with site management and contractors. Every area was cleaned to CQC-ready standards. Our cleaners wore full PPE and used medical-grade disinfectants throughout.
